Team Manager – Safeguarding, (DoLS LPS) & Secure Estate

Bridgend County Borough Council have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to be appointed in the newly created position as Team Manager for Adult Social Care’s Safeguarding services, Liberty Protection Safeguards and Secure Estate Services.
As a Team Manager, with specific responsibility for safeguarding adults, you will work as part of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and provide support to the Service Manager in their position as Lead professional for Adult Social Care. You will also oversee the day to day management of the small, committed Social Services Secure Estate Team in HMP Parc.
In readiness for the soon to be established Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS), in this role you will work alongside an experienced LPS lead as they advance the local authority in the implementation of LPS.
You will be a registered social worker with an in-depth and broad knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory functions and national guidance that pertains to children, young people and adults, particularly safeguarding and mental capacity. You will have experience in safeguarding arrangements, as well as experience of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working.
