Service Manager – Safeguarding
Full time 37 hours per week; 9.00am -5.30pm, 9.00am – 5.00pm (Friday)
Sandwell Children’s Trust are recruiting for a Service Manager – Safeguarding to lead their Safeguarding function, who is a passionate and tenacious social work manager who thrives when working alongside social work professionals and managers relentless in improving practice by utilising quality assurance mechanisms which support positive and timely outcomes for children.
Salary range: £50,555 – £53,722 plus the possibility of up to £6,500 relocation allowance

As the Service Manager for Safeguarding working in the Trust you will: –
- Have the autonomy to influence, support and challenge practice, managing independent reviewing officers and working alongside social care teams.
- You will be joining a team of experienced managers and senior leaders who have a shared goal of improving social work practice in order to deliver excellent services to the children and families we support.
About you:
- A qualified Social Worker with significant social work management experience.
- Have a proven track record for driving quality assurance, improving services alongside supporting the development of staff.
- Must be able to demonstrate significant experience of working with vulnerable children in need of statutory safeguarding intervention in a range of settings and from a variety of backgrounds.
- An understanding of the main issues relating to, and factors impacting on, safeguarding children and young people from abuse or exploitation.
- Have a proven track record of supporting continuous improvement in service delivery.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position and registration with Social Work England.
