PUPIL WELFARE OFFICER
Permanent (40 hours per week) 4 days per week 8.30am – 5.00pm across Monday to Friday plus evening and weekend cover on a rota basis during term time
Reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead you will be expected to provide support in all areas of day-to-day welfare and support for vulnerable pupils; liaising with parents, external agencies and services and supporting vulnerable pupils.
You should be able to cope with periodic peaks in workload, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate discretion and confidentiality whilst adhering to professional boundaries. You must be a competent administrator with a keen eye for detail and first-class organisational skills.
Experience of working in a pastoral context, social work related role and/or working with external agencies essential. Previous boarding school experience desirable. Previous child protection training essential and the successful candidate will be expected to achieve a level 3 in Child Protection prior to taking up the role if they do not already hold this.
