This webinar provides a clear and concise overview of the safeguarding responsibilities held by trustees and management committee members. Drawing on current compliance requirements and best practice guidance from the Charity Commission and Department for Education, the session highlights the strategic role of governance in promoting safe, accountable, and well-led organisations.

Whether you’re a trustee, committee member, or senior leader in a charity, school, or other organisation working with children or vulnerable individuals, this session will enhance your understanding of safeguarding obligations and how to provide effective oversight.

• Safeguarding compliance: understanding statutory and regulatory requirements
• Recent developments in safeguarding expectations and guidance
• The leadership role: setting the tone and communicating the importance of safeguarding
• What effective safeguarding oversight looks like in practice
• Supporting trustees and volunteers to develop safeguarding knowledge and confidence
