What will you be doing?
This role will focus on continuing to evolve and drive the Red Together strategy across the club, via multi-year action plans, with key events, ongoing awareness & education and advocacy for positive change, supported by policies, procedures and process to deliver best in class outcomes.

The role will lead in maintaining and reviewing implementation plans to ensure constant progress towards ED&I targets, maintaining a strong focus on a zero- tolerance approach to all forms of discrimination, using the Red Together message and brand to embed our commitment to acceptance of all differences in the stadium and workplace.

A key focus within this role will be maintaining external recognition and accreditation with the Premier League Equality, Diversity & Inclusion standard at the Advanced Plus level along with other external bodies to which we adhere including: The Football Leadership Diversity Code, Ofcom, Disability Confident and Stonewall Equality Index, whilst continuing to build our brand via affiliation with other appropriate external bodies.

This role will be responsible for creating a communication and engagement plan that enables continuous focus and promotion of ED&I actions and progress with colleagues, the Executive and Leadership team, Women`s and Men`s Football and the Foundation internally, and with key external stakeholders such as ED&I fans forum.

The specifics of the role include:

Constantly evolve strategy and plans via a deep and broad understanding of ED&I, bringing in creative and forward-thinking actions and best practice.

Use a data and evidence-based approach to identifying areas where change is needed and implement and track metrics to enable continuous assessment of actions and initiatives so that activity delivers tangible benefit.

Ensure that recruitment, talent development and retention strategies drive a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Contribute to content design of awareness and education programmes and events in conjunction with the Talent, Learning and Engagement Director.

Manage the Diversity & Inclusion budget to ensure expenditure is line with business plans.

Seek appropriate opportunities to share LFC`s progress to promote our profile as an inclusive employer of choice and be an ambassador for the club around ED&I.

Assess, develop, and implement opportunities to improve procedures and good practice with a fan focus via active engagement with the ED&I Fan Forum.

Continue to evolve colleague diversity networks to encourage active participation and allyship of colleagues across the club.

Maintain positive relationships with external partners including the Premier League, FA, campaign and community organisations, other clubs and the wider professional network to share and promote good practice.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for somebody with deep specialist knowledge and experience of managing equality, diversity, and inclusion programmes in complex organisations. You will have extensive experience of managing standards/quality assurance/regulatory auditing requirements. Ideally, you will have an understanding of relevant legislation and sport related regulations such as Premier League Equality Standard, FA Football Diversity Leadership Code.

You will use your experience and knowledge of strategy development and action planning to effectively resolve issues and provide appropriate solutions for ED&I. You will be obsessed with delivering impact, and be passionate about advancing ED&I.

You will be confident and articulate in presenting to high profile internal and external stakeholders and will have experience of influencing and negotiation at all levels of an organisation. You will have a pro-active approach with a preference for collaboration when working with others.

Day to day, excellent project management, organisation, time management and project budgeting skills will be needed, and you will be capable of managing multiple demands at once. A resilient judgement will be required to navigate shifting priorities and setbacks; being comfortable with ambiguity and imperfect solutions.

You will be analytical, using data to identify issues. Your experience of policy and process development will help you to lead on the design of education and awareness programmes.

You will hold a professional qualification in Human Resources or ED&I.
