Safer recruitment certificate
22 February @ 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Course outline:
This programme is also available on a consultancy basis, delivered face to face.
This Safer Recruitment Consortium accredited training course is the widely accepted UK standard for safer recruitment recognised by the government. Statutory Guidance outlines that at least one member of every appointment panel for roles involving work with children must undertake ‘proper’ safe recruitment training.
The Safer Recruitment Consortium has developed a Safer Recruitment package for the wider children’s workforce (this course) where previously this was solely aimed at those in the education sector. The consortium also reviewed the national safer working practice guidance in 2015 (previously DCSF 2009) to reflect new and emerging professional conduct issues and this was updated again in May 2019 and most recently in February 2022.
This online course is delivered by an approved SRC trainer and includes provision of all SRC participant materials via the accredited online virtual delivery.
Training topics will include:
- Safer recruitment and the wider context of safeguarding
- Prevalence of abuse and profile of abusers

- Features of a safer recruitment process
