We’re looking for a resilient, determined and proactive individual to join our school to take on the important role of deputy designated safeguarding lead. The right candidate will work alongside the Designated safeguarding lead in helping pupils and families who require support to overcome barriers to learning (social, emotional and mental health) that they may experience both inside and outside the school, in order that they reach their full potential.

As part of the role you will support the safeguarding culture as a deputy designated safeguarding lead. You will be able to build excellent relationships with families and consider the best possible options to support families. You will liaise with outside agencies in order to reach the right support and also be able to signpost families to alternative support. You will be given in- house training, provided by the Trust safeguarding lead and become proficient in detailed recording using CPOM’s and responding to safeguarding concerns raised by staff and families.

You will need:
● GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent qualifications.
● Previous primary school experience.
● A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
● The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
● A can-do attitude.
● A commitment to the happiness, well-being, positive self-esteem and developing progress of everyone at the school.
● Driving licence and vehicle to enable homevisits
