Location: London with hybrid working and travel to the branch network (nationwide)

The Safeguarding Manager will create a Divisional wide Safeguarding Framework that keeps children, clients, and the business safe and thriving.
A professional and passionate leader, the Safeguarding manager will be a positive and driven ambassador for Safeguarding.
The role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop further a safeguarding culture which is embedded across our businesses.
The Safeguarding Manager will provide expert support and guidance, developing transparent and effective policy, process and procedure that provides assurance and clearly upholds KCSIE legislation.
Key duties include:
- Being the Designated Safeguarding Lead for our Educator Talent Solutions (ETS) division.
- Develop and implement a divisional wide Safeguarding Framework based on best practice principles and compliance to relevant legislation.
- Representing the business on Safeguarding issues with our clients and stakeholders.
- Effective policy development and implementation of legislative changes.
- Provide clear expert advice support and guidance that empowers others to implement Safeguarding policy.
- Auditing the business to ensure standards are upheld, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and professional curiosity around safeguarding.
- Management of the ETS Safeguarding Group related action and development plans.
- Management of allegations against educators and Safeguarding cases were appropriate.
- Representing the ETS division at LADO and other related external agency meetings.
- Monitoring and reporting on safeguarding trends and issues in the business.
- Training and communicating to increase safeguarding awareness.
- Promoting and shaping safeguarding policy as a driver for quality and growth in the Business.
About you:
An expert communicator, the Safeguarding Manager will be adept at leading and influencing others, creating change, setting standards and expectations, and implementing for impact. You will have:
- Extensive experience of working in a safeguarding role as a DSL preferably in an education or recruitment setting.
- Considerable experience of implementing safeguarding frameworks, processes, and procedures.
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience; Professional qualification in Safeguarding to min Level 3 or willing to undertake
- Expert ability to translate strategy/policy into operational practice with a good understanding of business needs and the bigger picture
- Superb capability to expertly inform, educate, empower, and influence others
- Experience in training and developing others
- Drive to positively seek and find solutions
- Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritize well own and others work when required
