Employability Coordinator
Highland One Stop Shop
£26,985 per annum
39 hours per week
Initial 6 month pilot, with continuation dependent on further funding
The Highland One Stop Shop (HOSS) provides free social opportunities and 1-1 advice and support on a range of issues to autistic adults living in Highland.
Whilst HOSS services are usually available only to those living within Highland, we have received funding to provide support to people referred by Jobcentre Plus staff in the Moray area. The Employability Coordinator will work with those autistic adults to improve their future employment options. As part of the HOSS staff team, the employability worker will also introduce those autistic adults to the wider range of services available through HOSS, and support the HOSS team with employability issues within Highland. The Employability Coordinator will work with a range of external agencies, professionals, autistic adults, parents and carers.
We are looking for someone with a broad understanding of autism and the particular issues faced by those seeking employment, with the ability to develop positive working relationships and deliver workshops and training. Many of our services are currently being delivered remotely, so you will also need to be able to deliver 1-1 and group support across a range of platforms, including Skype, Zoom and Teams. The Employability Coordinator will mainly see people in Moray, but will also be required to work occasionally from the HOSS base in Inverness.
