Safeguarding and Welfare Lead – Glenleigh Park Primary Academy

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who possesses energy, vision and enthusiasm and holds the belief that the core purpose for any school is to keep children safe.

This unique and exciting position will be non-teaching however; the successful candidate will be the designated lead for the school and be part of the senior leadership team. This is such an exceptional opportunity for someone with a safeguarding background and passion for improving pupil welfare.

Glenleigh Park is a school that can offer exceptional professional development opportunities, high levels of support and the chance to make a real difference to the welfare of our pupils. Our modern, two form entry school benefits from extensive grounds and a fantastic learning environment. The curriculum is engaging and always evolving.

We work closely with other schools within the Academy Trust and can provide unparalleled opportunities of support through the links we have locally and internationally.

We are looking to appoint someone:

  • Who has significant knowledge of safeguarding policies, procedures and practices
  • Who is a confident communicator who can make referrals to, and liaise with our partners in the Police, Social Work team and Local Authority in order to effectively manage cases
  • Who can attend and contribute to strategy discussions and case conferences where appropriate
  • Who will provide high quality advice and guidance to the school leaders and staff
  • Who enjoys a challenge and will continue to build a culture of safeguarding at the school
  • Who has a genuine passion for working with and making a real difference to young children’s lives

So if you are an advocate for keeping children safe and are committed to working co-operatively to secure the best outcomes for our children, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
