Contract type: Part-time 12-month fixed term (3 days per week)

Reports to: Head of Safeguarding

Location: Premier League Offices, Paddington, W2 1HQ

Overview           

The Premier League’s Legal Team is looking for an Executive to provide first-class secretarial and administrative support for our Safeguarding Team. The role has a broad remit, therefore will require excellent prioritisation skills, ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and require an individual who is extremely proactive. The right candidate will be able to work at pace, both autonomously and as part of a team, will pay meticulous attention to detail and will have good interpersonal skills. It is essential to be comfortable working within a safeguarding environment. The nature of the role means we are able to offer a flexible working pattern which can be discussed with candidates at interview stage. We have a wide variety of responsibilities. These include organising the competition and its Rule Book as well as managing the centralised broadcast and commercial rights. The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, we protect the organisation’s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

Our hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week. Where possible, you will attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

The role

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support for the Safeguarding Team
  • To act as the first point of contact for the Safeguarding Team by responding to and triaging incoming communication
  • Lead on communication and administration associated with safeguarding our training programme, safer recruitment and procurement procedures
  • Effective diary management and co-ordination of meetings and events
  • Provide minute taking support for meetings as required
  • Maintain accurate compliance records
  • Undertake other tasks as may reasonably be required to support the implementation of our safeguarding and compliance procedures

Requirements for the role

  • Excellent secretarial and administration skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience and understanding of safeguarding compliance requirements
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Strong interpersonal and literacy skills with the ability to interact well with people at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively manage a diverse workload
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively undertaking tasks as directed
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office 365 applications
