We are looking for a passionate, engaging and inspiring manager to lead the Wigan Safeguarding Childrens Partnership (WSCP) Business team. With responsibility for agreeing how services and agencies work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and their families in Wigan. This a great opportunity to drive forward the work of the partnership and provide strategic leadership for the business plan.
You will champion the voice of children and young people, promoting a multi-agency learning culture of high expectations, high support and high challenge and ensuring compliance with statutory arrangements.
You will play a strategic role in the leadership of the Partnership Safeguarding Team to support the priorities and service objectives.
About you:
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced manager to provide strategic leadership and support to our Safeguarding partners.
You will be a strong communicator, with project management skills and safeguarding experience. You will be able to adhere to Wigan Councils three behaviours, be positive, accountable, and courageous.
You will be able to carefully and sensitively listens to what others have to say at all levels of the organisation and constantly checks their own understanding before acting with an ability to monitor and evaluate performance of self to ensure excellent service delivery.
The role with be hybrid with 1-2 days in the office per week
